SUMMARY The Supervisor of Business Operations is accountable to the Airport Manager. The individual is responsible to assist in the administration and implementation of the Airport and Runway Park Business and Marketing Plans, in a manner that is safe, efficient, secure and cost effective. REPORTING STRUCTUREThe Supervisor of Business Operations reports to the Airport Manager QUALIFICATIONS- Degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance or related field
- Eligible to enroll or have certification in the Airport Administration and Services Program
- Preference of 5 years experience in a managerial position, responsible for a multi disciplined work force.
- In Lieu of a degree 10 years experience in a managerial position would be acceptable.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITIONThe Supervisor of Business Operations is responsible for but not limited to the following: - Facilitate the development and implementation of a Business Plan and Marketing Strategy;
- Undertake necessary business related research and investigations as required
- Manage activities and initiatives related to the development and implementation of the business plans
- Undertake project development, management and administration activities in support of the Airport and Runway Park’s development
- Assisting the Airport Manager as required
- Attend Board and Committee meetings as Recording Secretary
- Assist in event planning and event related activities at Runway Park.
- Assist in implementing the goals and objectives of the Airport as determined by SSMADC.
- Assist in ensuring implementation of business and site development plans approved by the SSMADC.
- Initiating research into the implementation of promotional activities to stimulate commercial investment at the Airport and Runway Park.
- Assist in evaluating and analyzing information from sources impacting Airport and Runway Park operations and taking appropriate action.
- Management, planning and marketing of business development interests.
- Any other duties assigned as part of management responsibilities to the Corporation.
- Promoting the Airport as an integral part of the community through public consultation.
